Doesn’t answer the questions, he slanders the citizens

When Jerry Lynott – Reporter for the Times Leader Newspaper, questioned Mayor Thomas Leighton about issues raised by private citizens Bob Kadluboski and Frank Sorick, at Thursday night's city council meeting, regarding Leighton being the SOLE appraiser for The Wilkes-Barre City Employees Federal Credit Union.

A credit union that serves employees of Wilkes-Barre City, Wilkes-Barre Township and Plains Township and their families. Leighton didn’t answer the reporter’s questions, but instead resorted to name calling: “You’re listening to a bunch of goofs,” Leighton said.

Goofy as Bob and Frank might be at times, their RIGHT!

“If we’re so goofy why are federal officials handing out subpoenas,” Kadluboski said.

Resorting to name-calling:

This is not the first time this tactic has been employed by the King & Co. You may recall this past April when, now former city tower, Leo Glodzik, owner of LAG (Cars 4 Ca$h) Towing, stood at city council, chastising Frank Sorick,  Bob Kadluboski, and Karen Ceppa-Hirko because they had the audacity to question His Lordship.

Conflict of interest:

It also looks as though the Wilkes Barre City Taxpayers Association is filing a complaint with The Pennsylvania State Board of Certified Real Estate Appraisers, and I urge everyone reading to click the link below, and do the same.

According to the Pennsylvania § 36.281. Standards of Professional Conduct, a Conflict of interest occurs when:

Conflict of interest—A situation in which a certified Pennsylvania evaluator uses the certified Pennsylvania evaluator’s employment or confidential information received through the course of the employment for the private pecuniary benefit of the certified Pennsylvania evaluator, a member of the certified Pennsylvania evaluator’s immediate family, or a business with which the certified Pennsylvania evaluator or a member of the certified Pennsylvania evaluator’s immediate family is associated.

Also Appraisers may NOT:

Certified Pennsylvania evaluators may not perform assessment and appraisal-related assignments that could reasonably be construed as being in conflict with their responsibilities to their jurisdictions, employers or clients, in which they have unrevealed personal interests or biases, or that they are not qualified to perform.

Dominick P. Pannunzio. The attorney for The Wilkes-Barre City Employees Federal Credit Union, added that Leighton does appraisals for other credit unions.

  • Well then Mr. Pannunzio, I submit these questions:
  • Do all of Leighton's Friends, Coworkers, & Family bank at those other credit unions?
  • How many appraisals for those other credit unions involve appraisals for Leighton's Friends, Coworkers, & Family?

I'm going out on a limb here, and guessing NONE!!!!

Remember folks, "When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser."
